Wow, it’s been forever since I’ve been on here. I spent some time last night catching up with some of the LJ happenings of others. Misty’s now working two jobs, which gives us just enough extra money to start putting away for the move. We finally have things right where they need to be and it feels as though our goals are not far from achievable. Meanwhile I sit here trapped in this 10 x 10 box until Monday. I’m in the middle of another bad spell with my foot. This time they did X-rays to check for any fractures or arthritis. Next week they plan to do lab work to check for gout. If it’s not any of those things it basically comes down to the fact that I’m overweight and the access weight is causing strain on my left foot which results in a very bad tendinitis. *Sigh*

The doctor put me off work until Monday. So far today has been my best day and I haven’t experienced very much pain. Saturday is the get together at Eddy and Joe’s. As long as my foot stays in this condition I should be good to go. My hopes are that we have as much fun this weekend as we did last. Rick’s BBQ was on Saturday and it was a real delight. It felt wonderful to be surrounded by friends and not feel any tension or uneasiness. It’s as though we never skipped a beat, everything was wonderful.

I started dabling in my computer nerdness again these past few weeks. I started teaching myself Javascript a few weeks back, but put it on the backburner to learn Flash MX. I purchased a book called Teach Yourself Macromedia Flash MX in 24 hours. I’m on hour 4 and have learned quite a bit about Flash that I didn’t know before. I’m going to build up my Flash, Java, and HTML knowledge again and will hopefully start putting together a new web site again in the future. My hopes are to throw together some sort of online retail site that would sell indie clothing and product. No ideas are final yet, so that concept could change. I’ve started dabbling in Myspace as well, while I started out hating the site it has become a bit of a guilty pleasure for me. People from work have started finding me which I had initially hoped wouldn’t happen, but I let them add me nonetheless. My only reason initially for signing up was to view some of my friends, but when a friend from Utah asked to add me I made it a permanent thing since I knew she was using it as a form of contact with her friends out here in California. Look me up…if you can find me. = )

Well it’s been just over three months since my last post and in that time not a whole hell of a lot has happened. I’ve had contact with practically no one over these past months, and while my feelings regarding this are somewhat apathetic I wonder what the future holds. Misty scored a part time job at a dry cleaning establishment, which has bumped our income up just enough to make things work to our advantage. We’ve started purchasing items to fill the new abode for when we move and so far we have been very pleased with our choices. The goal is to be moved out by late March early April, but only time will tell what happens. I’ve spent a lot of my free time toying with my video game obsession as well as sleeping. The other 75% is spent in the never ending cycle of employment which begins each morning with an hour and fifteen minute commute to Anaheim. On a positive note I was finally given the permanent position as the “A” Lead on the Boardwalk attractions leaving me a lot of opportunity to advance.

I’ve been dying as of late to find a creative outlet. I downloaded some more songs just as a way to get me back in the swing of my old habits while Misty’s at work, but it still doesn’t feel the void of creativity. I’m really looking at the possibility of working on some kind of Flash based animation as an outlet when we get our new PC. I’m already pricing the Intuos 9×12 tablet to draw my artwork with in hopes of developing a new site and character line for people to view.

Anyways I think I’m gonna quit writing now. Nothing too exciting to report and I’m chatting with my sister in law on AIM. Night everyone!

Breakfasts To Die For

So in my half assed writing yesterday I didn’t get into any details about the delicios breakfasts we were served during our stay at the Blackberry Inn. Each night we went to bed wondering what delicious dishes we would be served the next morning. We woke Tuesday morning and were served our first of four delicious breakfasts. Tuesdays menu consisted of an egg, mushroom, and olive quiche which was delightful. With it came a small dish of scalloped potatoes and baked grapefruit with cinnamon topping. Wednesday our meal started out with a bowl of blueberry and pear cobbler which was a meal in itself. The cobbler was followed up with a egg, cheese, and turkey sausage souflet with a side of coffee cake. Thursday and Friday Misty were the only guests at the Inn so we enjoyed breakfast alone without the company of the stuffy arrogant rich folk we had the pleasure of feasting with the previous two days. The breakfast on Thursday started out with a fruit and yogurt cup which contained various mixed fruits stacked in a cup with yogurt on the bottom. After eating the fruit cup I would have been full, but then we were served an omelette souflet with country potatoes surrounding the plate. Friday started the same way with a fruit cup to start followed by eggs in a nest. A delicious hashbrown mix with potatoes, onions, and chicken which nested a sunny side up egg in the middle with a cinnimaon biscuit on the side.

Our whole experience at the Blackberry Inn was amazing. The home was beautiful, the food was great, and we also discovered halfway through the week that the Innkeeper was in fact the author of numerous outdoors books. We happened to be reading through the Yosemite guide books featured in our room and discovered that the book had been written by Ann Marie the Innkeeper. Upon further reading we discovered she had in fact written a total of 11 outdoors books covering various subjects in regards to hiking and National Parks. At the end of the week we asked to purchase one of the books, but instead she gave us a book free of charged as a wedding gift. She even inscribed the book personally to us it was amazing. The whole week was incredible and we plan to return in April for Misty’s birthday. The waterfalls are supposed to be gorgeous that time of year and the colors and sights are supposed to be even more vibrant in the Spring. Ann Marie even offered to give us a deal since the weather prevented us from enjoying most of the Yosemite sites…
