Mixx It Up With A Ninja

The irony in this post is that it’s about two things I typically could care less about…Mixx.com and Ninja’s. I’m not a huge fan of Mixx and rarely use it and I think ninja’s are overrated. However, I thought it was worthy enough to share with the masses regardless. Today, as some of you may know is Day of the Ninja. It’s the ninja equivalent to Talk Like A Pirate Day. I discovered this morning when mixxing a story about reasons to use twitter that Mixx.com has decided to show homage to the day by incorporating a ninja theme into their logo. So if you head over to Mixx at all today you’ll be greeted by this little guy:

haha that’s awesome
Ninjas rule!
I didn’t know about “Day of the Ninja” so that explains Google’s post about Ninjas Vs. Pirates

Thanks for the mention. I think you will see more and more of these from us in the future, keep your eyes out.
@Doug I’ll be interested to see other logos. I don’t make it on Mixx very often as I mentioned in the post and just happened to be on the site today when I came across this one.
Well hopefully with some of the upcoming updates we can change that Mike. Curious what keeps you away from using the site. If you like send an email to feedback@mixx.com and direct it toward me. We do our very best to make sure we are creating a product that are users want to use.
@Doug – I really don’t think there is specifically anything WRONG with Mixx, I just don’t use it that often. Most of my peers and colleagues are frequent Digg and StumbleUpon users, so that is where I spend most of my time.
I am trying to incorporate sites like Mixx more into my routine though, so that may change in the future. I appreciate you taking the time to comment on this though.

@mike,
Just seeing your response, apologies for not getting back sooner. Thanks for the feedback. That is what is great about the innovation that is going on around the web these days it is about a group of friends participating and not about being stuck on one site.
All in all I appreciate the original posts kind words and wanted to make sure it reflected how the Mixx team felt in the comments.
Cheers!
@Doug,
Thanks for the response. I’ve actually started using Mixx quite a bit more since you responded to this post. You did Mixx a favor by taking the time to interact with the user and ask for feedback. That struck a chord with me and I have since put more of an effort in using Mixx.
I actually shared my story over at SearchRank in response to a post they did on Mixx. Not only because I agree with what they had to say, but because user interaction is something I really respect in any website or company.
Thanks again for following up, and I look forward to seeing what Mixx has to offer me in the future.
