Unwritten Law has announced a benefit show to aid Scott Russo, the band’s singer, and his family.  Russo and his family lost their home, all of their possessions,  and all of their pets in a devastating house fire that started in the family home last Thursday.  While everyone inside got out alive, the family was not insured and Russo is currently the sole supporter of his parents and his three children.

To raise money for the cause the band has been accepting donations via PayPal from their Myspace page and also opened up a benefit fund where friends and fans can send check and money order donations.  In addition Unwritten Law will be playing a benefit show tomorrow, February 10th, 2009, at the House of Blues in San Diego.  There are confirmed performances from Unwritten Law, Jason Mraz, and “special guests”.

If you haven’t seen Unwritten Law live I strongly suggest you get down to San Diego tomorrow and catch them.  It’s for a good cause and they put on a great show.  I saw them a few month’s back and they were AMAZING.  All proceeds will go to Russo and his family to help them get back on their feet following the fire.
