I Hate The Mall

So I remembered today why it is I hate the mall…It’s filled with Lemmings. Stupid reject Lemmings. They all walk the same, talk the same, act the same, dress the same, and drone on like the miserable little freaks they are. You have your hip-hop kids, your preps, and of course there are the neo-punk/emo kids. I’m just sick of seeing it. It’s like clone after clone everywhere you go anymore. I think I saw like 3 kids today that actually had their own unique style and they were like 14. WTF? Meanwhile Misty almost had to bitch slap some black hoe who felt the need to run her mouth. On our way out of the mall some black chick that was talking to some ghetto guy at one of the carts backed into Misty and then had the nerve to turn around and shout, “Excuse you!” Misty gave her shit back telling her that she backed into her, and then in ebonics the bitch rambled on some meaningless gibberish that I couldn’t translate. I hate the mall, I hate people, and all you clones need to go somewhere and die already!

After the mall we head over to Joann’s to check on stamps for the wedding. They already started getting their fall/Halloween stuff in. I am mega excited. I splurged and already bought a little witch figurine for like 3 bucks. We also scored some really nice fall leave cupcake cups. I saw a whole mess load of Halloween stuff I need to go back and buy. All witchy and black cat like. I love it!

Afterwards we head to Target where I picked up a Wonka bar on clearance. It was like eighty-nine cents or something like that. I had never had one so I thought I’d try it. Not too bad, would have been better if I had got the golden ticket. Which reminds me I left it in the center console in my car…I hope it doesn’t melt before I leave for work tomorrow. That would suck to have to clean up. EGH!

After Target we head over to Wal-Mart and picked up a new CD rack to store all our CD’s and video games. It worked out quite nicely and we were able to get rid of the box that was currently holding all our CD’s and junk. It also gave us an opportunity to redo the room a bit. I think we are going to get a small little workstation desk to set up to replace the dresser that the computer currently resides on.

Yesterday was fun, we went to the beach only to find that there were three thousand people there and not one fire pit was available. We left ten dollars poorer and no hot dogs or marshmallows roasted. We head back to our place and decided to BBQ the hot dogs and then roasted marshmallows over the little wood burning chimney my parents have set up in the back yard. It wasn’t quite the beach, but it was fun.

Tomorrow is the first day I will work the new lead schedule, it should be interesting. We have a four hour overlap to watch over the attractions, the rest of the time we’re on our own. It’s going to be a huge change going from 2 to 4 attractions. It should keep me on my toes though. I’ll really have to focus on time management.

A Great Way To Start A Weekend

So today was pretty kick ass. The only thing that really sucked about it was the fact I woke up with a strained foot, which cancelled our plans of going to the beach.

So we woke up this morning and head out to get my hair cut. Not too bad, just sucked that the girls missed some spots on my neck. No biggie though, Misty can fix it with my electric razor. After my haircut we head down to Michael’s to purchase the little bags to hold our wedding favors. You’ve gotta love Michael’s for looking out for it’s crippled customers. They have a wheelchair cart, which is what I utilized gratefully considering the state my foot was in. While at Michael’s we purchased 216 of the favor bags in Gold, Red, and Burgundy. We also stocked up on some neat Scrapping stuff that was on price cut for $1-$2 dollars. And of course since the Spooky Town stuff was 25% off we grabbed a couple primo items to add to our Halloween collection. After Michael’s we grabbed a bite to eat a Wendy’s. Might I add that Wendy’s is probably the most underrated fast food places I know of. Everyone is so big on McDonald’s and Burger King, but in all honesty I think Wendy’s is ten times better. Go to Wendy’s people! After Wendy’s we head out to a cake decorating place in Norco. They had a cake tier we really liked, sadly we didn’t like the price much. The white wrought iron tier was a fat $149.99. OUCH! Not only that, but the store didn’t have one in stock we could actually look at. Afterwards we head home to drop off our stuff where we met up with Jen. At this point my foot was really bothering me so we just hung out at the house while I rested it. Jen coming over brought more excitement to my day since she gave me her Zire palm pilot. When we were all at Target last night I was looking at them and she had mentioned that she had one she never used that she got when she bought tires. I asked her how much she wanted for it, and she said I could have it. Today I became the new proud owner of a palm pilot. I fiddled with the pilot for a bit and then we left on our trip to Anaheim to pick up the material for our wedding ring pillow. I sat at the table while the girls searched for colors. Misty brought over a beautiful shiny orange rust material that we all agreed would look great. I sat at the table a bit longer while Jen and Misty looked for some flannel material and then we left.

After buying the material we head over to the Disney Character Wherehouse where I scored some great deals on 2003 Haunted Mansion Holiday merch. I got a snowglobe, and ornament, and a Mayor PVC figure. All at great discount prices. After our shopping was through, we head over to Panda Express for some ever so delicious chinese food. As usual I I ordered Orange Chicken. After stuffing our bellies with Chinese goodness we head back out to Corona where we again stopped at Michael’s. Misty and Jen wanted to check out the clay molding stuff since they had made clay gargoyles the day before. They found a couple of books they really liked and picked up a few cheap utensils as well. Misty and I also picked up a book on how to make natural soaps, lotions, shampoos, and massage oils as well. It sounds like it’s going to be a lot of fun. After our trip to Michael’s we had to head over to Jen’s aunts house to pick up some candle’s. Her aunt had an amazing house with a really awesome deck and pool. After a quick visit we head back to our place where we decided to start filling the favor bags with the favors. It took us only about a half hour to complete thanks to the three of us working together. After finishing up the favors we then worked on separating the leis for the wedding shower luau. We hung each of the on a hanger so they could air out in hopes they wouldn’t smell like plastic come day of the shower. Once we finished with that Misty and Jen had a nice little bonding session looking at pictures and what not while I played with my new palm. I downloaded the Palm Desktop for my PC and hooked the Palm up and messed with my address book and what not. I added b-days, addresses, and phone numbers in. I love the thing. It is going to make my organization at work much easier, especially when it comes to remembering people’s phone extensions and such.

In other exciting news it looks like the three of us will be taking a trip up to San Francisco on August 13. We’ll spend the weekend up there at her friends parents place, and visit the city, and just have a really good time. It’ll be nice for Misty and I since we have been looking to get away for a while now. I’m still hoping on top of this trip Eddy will be able to get his dad to let us stay in his cabin in the desert. I think everyone getting together to go do that will be a blast. Time will tell what happens with that though. Well I think that’s all for tonight, I am off to bed. Tomorrow Misty and I are working on wedding invites and doing laundry all day, so it should be a nice lazy Sunday.

Early July 2004

So last time I posted Misty and I were going through some shit. Fortunately 24 hours later all was good. Turned out to be a bit of a misunderstanding and Misty finally came home. With that said we come to the point in time when things are looking very up.

July 4th

We had a blast. Everyone gathered at Eddy’s for some booze and grub as well as catch a couple fireworks. There was drinking, more drinking, karaoke, and more drinking. Everyone had a lot of fun. Joe was over, it was nice seeing him again. Things never really got back to where they were before the apartment split, but at least we can still hang out. Nicole and her cousin were there as well. Her cousin seems to have grown up a lot since the last time I saw her. Nicole seems to be her usual self though, which is cool. Just a shame that things aren’t better with her and Joe. Rick, Alisha, and Jen were all there as well. It was nice getting to spend time with everyone. We crashed at Eddy’s that night. It was hotter than hell in the room, I don’t know how I managed to sleep the little bit that I did. It’s probably because I was so damn drunk, oh well! We shared a room with Rick and Jen. Rick snores like a mother. (QUIT BLAMING IT ON ME FOOL!) Alisha I don’t know how you do it!

July 5th

I woke up around 4 a.m. feeling like crap. Misty and I went downstairs to grab a glass of water. The two of us then spent some time just resting on the balcony in the lounge chair. We probably would have spent the rest of the night out there had the chair been a bit more comfortable. After about fifteen minutes or so out there we decided it was best to head back upstairs regardless of how nice it felt to be in the cool morning air. We crashed for about another hour or so before I woke up again feeling even more sick. I again returned downstairs for a quick glass of water and then a trip to the restroom. When I came out I found Rick getting a cup of water. We sat out on the balcony for a few minutes and just bullshit about the night before. He then busted out his game boy and played some Tetris as I sat there feeling nauseous. I told him I thought I was going to go wake Misty and head out, and a few minutes later I did just that. Misty and I got home just after 7 when all the real fun began. The mixture of Hefeweizen, Bailey’s, Corona, Guinness, So Co, and any other various drinks Misty had, brought forth their revenge. I spent the next 10 minutes or so puking my guts out. I forgot how much I hated the feeling of getting sick. It had been years since I had done so, and it was the first time ever due to drinking. I then suffered the next two days from the world’s longest and most miserable hang over. I puked again the next night.

July 10th

Misty, her sister Cheryl, Jen and I went to the Orange County Fair. It was ok. The food was good, but other than that it was nothing to get too excited over. Misty and I spent $80 just in admission, food, drinks, and a couple games to win some puppies. We didn’t do any of the carnival rides since Jen gets motion sickness and the rest of us were to stuffed or buzzed to do any of them. Misty would have probably gone, but no one else was up for it. The highlight of my day was finally getting to try a deep fried Twinkie. I remembered hearing about these delicious little morsels a few years back, but I hadn’t been to the fair in a good decade! Damn are they good, I hope we get the deep fryer that we registered for. I can make my own! After the fair we head back in to town and watched The Secret Window back at my parents house. It was a good movie, Johnny Depp was great. Sadly our night sucked on the food end of it since Pizza Hut yet again screwed up our order. Bless the retards in the fast food industry…Dumb bastards. That’s ok, we were credited up to $30 on our next order. WOO HOO!

July 12th

Congratulations to me, I was promoted! Monday was a huge day for me. I had been waiting all weekend to find out whether or not I would be promoted at work. Thankfully I was. I will now be the “B” Lead over Maliboomer, Orange Stinger, The Sun Wheel, and King Triton’s Carousel. For those of you who don’t speak Disney talk this means I will now be the lead that takes all the closing shifts under the “A” Lead and will take the “A” Lead shifts on their day off. In other words, twice a week I will work as lead from 8:30 – 5:00 and the other three days I will close. In the end…MORE MONEY! Which couldn’t come at a better time since Misty is going to start looking for a new job on Monday. Look out rental properties, here we come!

July 13th

My dad’s b-day. Misty and I got up at 9:30 to make him breakfast before I went to work. It turned out really good, and he was happy to eat it all up. Yesterday was also the first day I carpooled with Melanie. It was cool, and the best part is that once I get all set up for Commuter Assistance at work I will get $1 for every day that I carpool. Free money to come to work, I’m down.

So that’s pretty much where I’ve been and what I’m doing. I’m not sure what the weekend has in store, I know Misty and I have to take care of some wedding stuff but other than that the doors appear to be open. Friday is still totally open, I’m not sure what we have planned after I get off work. Probably nothing since we plan to get up early on Saturday. I was considering maybe a picnic Saturday morning with just Misty and I, and then after we run our errands we could get everyone together and go down to the beach. Sunday will probably be another laundry and wedding invite day. A friend from work invited Misty and I to go to a goth club out in Anaheim, but I think I’m gonna pass this week. I’d rather work on the things that are more important and get a good nights sleep before work. Now I am off to bed, I have to be up in about five hours. In the words of the “A” Lead I worked under previously….”Peace out party people…Word Up!”
